South Asia Household Survey Data

The module provides a comprehensive set of data on a number of key education indicators available through household surveys conducted between 1992 and 2005.  It contains detailed information on the coverage, efficiency, and quality of the education systems of seven South Asian countries (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka).  Data is provided on school participation, survival rate, educational attainment, out-of-school children, adult literacy, and expenditure on education. Where available, data is disaggregated by gender, state or region, place of residence (urban or rural), socio-economic quintile, and education level.
