Global Environment Facility (GEF) Operational Programs

Hybrid2
Hybrid2 simulates the performance of various wind/photovoltaic/diesel hybrid systems. Systems can be modeled on the AC, DC or both buses with a variety of different control strategies/options as well as interactions between the various generator sets and the batteries. An economic analysis tool is also included that calculates the economic worth of the project using many economic and performance parameters.

Village Power Optimization Model for Renewables (ViPOR)
ViPOR is an optimization model that for designing autonomous village electrification systems. Given a map of a village and some information about load sizes and equipment costs, ViPOR decides which houses should be powered by isolated power systems (like solar home systems) and which should be included in a centralized distribution grid.
