• The Energy and Mining Sector Board Discussion Paper Series. This series explores a wide variety of issues related to implementation of energy sector reform. The Papers are prepared by experts inside and outside the World Bank and their purpose is to encourage discussion and comment within the development community. To obtain hard cpoies of the Discussion Papers, please e-mail energyinfo@worldbank.org

• Energy and Mining Sector Board Working Notes Series. These are intended to complement the Energy and Mining Sector Board Discussion Papers. They are lightly edited notes i.e. "works in progress, " and are  available only in electronic format.

• Energy and Mining Sector Board Discontinued Series. This section presents the discontinued publications series of the Energy and Mining Sector Board. Please note that the titles of some fo the papers include names of now non-existent departmentsin which Energy was previously housed: (a) Energy, Mining and Telecommunications (EMT); and (b) Industry and Energy (IEN). The Energy Anchor Unit is now part of the Energy, Transport and Water Department (ETW).

•  Occasional and One-Off papers: These papers are not included in any particular series

•  World Bank Working Papers. These papers derive from completed or ongoing work and are published in a relatively unpolished form to communicate findings and encourage comment. They present the results of economic, financial. or technical research; country experience or analysis; operational evaluations; detailed background or case studies; performance guidelines; or other technical materials.

• ESMAP (Energy Sector Management Program) publications. Hard copies of ESMAP publications dating from before 1997 are available by request at esmap@worldbank.org
