Good Practices for Financial Consumer Protection

Good Practices for Financial Consumer Protection are intended to contribute to the ongoing international dialogue on financial consumer protection. The Good Practices are used by the World Bank in assessing a country's financial consumer protection regime. They may also be helpful to countries in conducting self-assessments. This paper is being released as a Consultative Draft in order to seek feedback and comment from regulators, consumer organizations, industry associations, international institutions and other stakeholders worldwide.

Comments and feedback can be provided directly to Sue Rutledge (srutledge@worldbank.org). In addition, comments and suggestions can be provided publicly at http://feedback.consumerprotection.worldbank.org.

Commentators are kindly requested to submit feedback by June 30, 2011 so that they can be incorporated into the final draft of the Good Practices.
