This website contains the presentations given in our series of Gender and Economics capacity-building workshops during 2005, in locations such as Moscow, Amman, Bangkok and Cairo. It also contains information on each respective workshop, including complete agendas, speakers' biographies, and lists of participants. The Gender and Economics workshops are organized to build capacity of government officials, in-country development practitioners and World Bank staff to perform gender analysis in key economic areas. The objective of the workshop series is to provide participants with the tools and knowledge necessary to successfully formulate gender-sensitive development policy at the country level, design specific development programs and projects, and conduct analytical work on different areas of Gender and Economics.
