The workshop participants reflected on the opportunities and constraints they face in their different working environments and what changes might improve upon current strategies.

Workshop outputs include:

  • a set of recommendations on how to strengthen the achievement of gender equality objectives within specific aid effectiveness initiatives discussed at the workshop

  • a set of specific recommendations and inputs to support international processes aimed at strengthening the pursuit of gender equality within aid effectiveness agendas

The outputs of this process will feed directly into the upcoming "Applying the Paris Declaration to Advance Cross Cutting Issues" (pdf) workshop in Dublin, Ireland on April 26-27, 2007.

The workshop, hosted by OECD-DAC GENDERNET, ENVIRONET, GOVNET and WP-EFF, will contribute to other social policy and aid effectiveness initiatives where possible, including contributing to the Asia Regional Aid Effectiveness Action Plan.
