This training manual walks through the importance of integrating gender into HIV/AIDS policy. It draws on the linkages between the two, emphasizing the different roles and vulnerabilities with males and females and making the connection between poverty, gender and HIV/AIDS. The manual draws on the author’s previous work in Zambia, describing effective tools for mainstreaming gender and the necessary steps to effectively monitoring and evaluating processes.
