Gender-based Violence and Opportunities for World Bank Action: Challenges and New Approaches

| The Latin America & the Caribbean and South Asia Regions, together with the Gender and Development Group of the World Bank, co-hosted a half-day learning event on gender-based violence (GBV), Tuesday September 30th. The event consisted of two sessions. A first session focuses on recent advances in research and includeed a debate on challenges in the measurement of GBV and in the costing of its effects. A second session focused on policy implications and discusses a wide range of interventions and how these map onto Bank operations. Concrete and best-practice policy initiatives from both regions were presented. |
