Globally, the dramatic increase in women's paid work has been a key social change in the last few decades. Yet, women continue to be less likely than men to be in paidemployment, and when they are, they continue to work fewer hours and earn lower wages.

Learning Objectives
In this workshop, evidence of the impact of work-family policies on women's employment outcomes, as well as on employers, will be presented.

The experience of developed countries will be compared to developing countries, to draw lessons for the countries where the World Bank operates.
