IMPLEMENTING EFFECTIVE COUNTRY LEVEL GOVERNANCE PROGRAMS: “WINDOW ONE” WORKSHOP
As we prepare to enter Phase II of GAC, this conference represents a turning point in a greater narrative — namely, how the World Bank and its partners are weaving principles of good governance and anti-corruption into their poverty reduction mandate. The workshop agenda looked at the implementation progress of governance programs at the country and sector levels, and examined how best to show results and impact. Discussions also examined the implications of current Bank reforms — such as results-based investment lending and the operational risk assessment framework (ORAF) — for GAC implementation at the country level.
