IMPLEMENTING EFFECTIVE COUNTRY LEVEL GOVERNANCE PROGRAMS: “WINDOW ONE” WORKSHOP
The Governance Partnership Facility (GPF) followed on the heels of the 2010 World Cup with a big event in South Africa, bringing together teams who have received Window 1 Country Level funding, from September 13-16 in Cape Town. This Window One Workshop (WOW) examined the progress of country level governance programs implemented with GPF support since the spring of 2009.
The WOW was a contextual examination of the way program design at the country level addresses and responds to governance challenges. Over the course of 3 days, participants exchanged experience and impressions about implementation of governance activities and how governance focus can impact development effectiveness. Partnerships and networking relationships were at the core of discussions, recognized as essential to enabling greater country level program success. Learn More »
