Moldova: Partnership for Change

 

Moldova’s commitment to a shared vision for sustainable growth and poverty reduction has buoyed the country’s economic recovery and spurred progress towards integration with the European Union (EU). Although it is still the poorest country in Europe, Moldova has greatly reduced its overall poverty rate from a high of 70 percent in 1999 to about 30 percent today. Moldova’s economy has expanded by more than 45 percent since 2000.
