Health, Nutrition and Population Advisory Service (HNPAS)

The HNP Advisory Service supports the work of the Health, Nutrition and Population (HNP) staff of the HD Network. Our primary roles are to assist staff to access the Network's knowledge resources, and to support and maintain the knowledge base.

If you are not a World Bank staff member, please review the answers to some commonly asked questions below before contacting the Advisory Service.

Q. Where can I find information on jobs and scholarships?
A. The Bank’s institutional FAQsweb site has a section for Jobs. World Bank Institute’s Scholarships sitehas information on the two programs, including how to apply. For consulting opportunities, please visit the Consulting sectionof the Business Center web site. HNPAS does not provide employment advice or services nor does it have additional funding for.

Q. Where can I find about the Bank's grant programs for NGOs?
A. The Civil Society web site has a section for funding resourcesboth within and outside of the Bank. Development Marketplace has a list of funding sourcesas well.

Q. Where can I find resources for my research project in health-related areas?
A. In addition to the appropriate topic pagesand our Data and Statistics web site, please visit the Documents and Reports databasewhere you can access 14,000 project documents, publications and other reports. Many documents are available in PDF. World Bank Institute’s web site for researchershas additional links.

Q. Can the World Bank Group provide financing for my company to do business in a developing country?
A. International Finance Corporation (IFC)is the private sector development arm of the World Bank Group and provides funding for private sector projects in developing countries. For information on how to apply for financing, please click here.

Q. Where can I access information on World Bank projects?

Q. Where can I get information on health-related conferences and other upcoming events?
A. To access information on upcoming learning events in the area of health and AIDS, please visit the World Bank Institute’s Learning web site. Please also check with the Bank’s Events Calendaras well. Participation to some events is by invitation only.
