Building effective partnerships has been an integral part of most programs throughout the Bank's history. International assistance organizations, civil society organizations, the business community, government agencies and others have all contributed to the success of world-wide development efforts by partnering with the Bank in shaping strategies and carrying out specific programs and activities.
