There is a growing demand for World Bank assistance in this area both in terms of knowledge and financial support. The purpose of this training workshop held in April 2005Â was to empower World Bank staff and clients with knowledge, tools and operational recommendations to design and implement comprehensive e-government strategies, programs, projects and increase effectiveness of traditional World Bank projects in various sectors through the use of ICT.
