Beneficiary Country:  Caribbean Region
View Project Progress

Project Description:  The development objective of this project is to assist the Governments of the Caribbean in increasing access to and usage of broadband communications infrastructure, overall reducing the cost of ICT services, and thereby facilitating the development of a wide range of ICT applications that promote social and economic development in the region. The broadband infrastructure feasibility studies will support the development of ICT infrastructure that fills existing gaps in the three (3) identified Caribbean countries, increases competition in the delivery of services, and provides for increased access to international broadband infrastructure (both submarine and terrestrial). The initial target group of countries includes the Dominican Republic, Grenada and St. Lucia. This is in response to countries' demand.
