Moldova Open Innovation Week 2012

Moldova Open Innovation Week 2012 is a culmination of important developments in the area of open government and open data innovations in Moldova led by the e-Government Center with the support of the World Bank and other development partners. On April 4, 2012, the Government has approved the National Action Plan on Open Government as part of the commitment to the global Open Government Partnership comprising over 50 countries. The Moldovan Government is committed to increase competitiveness and job creation, promote transparency, fight corruption, and provide more the access to citizens to public information and engage more actively its citizens in decision making processes, through capitalizing the potential of the open government innovations and technologies. E-Government Center, World Bank and other partners have been supporting key local stakeholders in building different aspects of an ecosystem around Open Government and Open Data innovations.
As a culmination of these efforts, a series of complementary events will take place during Moldova Open Innovation Week on May 14-20, 2012 as described in the attached Agenda.
