December 8, 2011: The Aakash, India's $35 Tablet for Education and Development: How to enable the next billion Internet users? Presentation by Suneet Singh Tuli, the CEO of DataWind, the company that developed the Aakash in partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology Rajasthan.

November 29, 2011:  Old Meets New - The Roles of Community Radio for Transparency and Accountability: Experiences from Africa Event presented the role of community radio in enhancing transparency and accountability.

October 19, 2011:  Leveraging ICT in MNA and Africa: Knowledge Sharing with Microsoft Event was led by Microsoft discussing the leveraging of ICT in Bank projects related to: Government; Education, and Health sectors with the MNA and Africa Regions as a core focus.

October 11, 2011:  Citizen Engagement, Aid Coordination, and Transparency: An Experience from Mapping of Data in the Horn of Africa Event presented the recent work of Development Seed in the Horn of Africa (http://developmentseed.org/projects/wfp-famine/).

June 9, 2011:  Evolution in the Internet Ecosystem Discussion on implications of two main evolutions in the Internet ecosystem, namely the globalization of the Internet, and the enormous increase in overall Internet traffic.

June 9 - 11, 2011:  Worldwide Symposium on eGovernment
Event took place in Yasmine Hammamet, Tunisia and was a follow-up to the 2005 Tunis WSIS.

April 12, 2011:  From Procurement Reform to Electronic Procurement Adoption: Sharing South Korea’s Journey and Lessons Learned The objective of this workshop was to engage in an international dialogue on opportunities and challenges of e-GP implementation and the role of the World Bank in this context, using the case of South Korea as a best practice basis.

March 28 - 31, 2011: ICT Days 2011 @ the World Bank This joint undertaking of the Sustainable Development Network (SDN), the Finance and Private Sector Development Network (FPD) and the World Bank Institute (WBI), illustrated the prevalence and ubiquity of ICTs in the development and knowledge agenda today.

March 28, 2011:   Workshop on Private Sector Participation in Public Services Delivery 
This learning event was designed to support WBG TTLs and staff in designing and structuring eGovernment PPPs as well as mobilizing WBG advisory and financial expertise to address the legal, procurement and financing challenges that these projects present.

March 29, 2011:  Connectivity Infrastructure Practice Day Focus on clarifying linkages between ICT infrastructure investment and economic growth, and highlighting aspects of the second generation reforms agenda many countries need to sustain the high level of investment

March 30 - 31, 2011: eTransform Days Showcased and discussed best practices in using ICT as enabler of transformation of public services. Also introduced the new Knowledge Platform on ICT Innovations for Accountability and Service Delivery one of the first three recently approved World Bank knowledge platforms.

January 20, 2011: Mobile Applications: Case Studies and Business Model Analysis Global event connected specialists and practitioners from countries across four regions to share World Bank study on use of mobile applications for health sector and the agriculture and rural development sector

December 9, 2010: Revolutionary approach to directly engage 2.1 billion people with mobile texting Nathan Eagle, CEO of txteagle, presented crowd sourcing tasks and compensation to the world’s poor via mobile phones.

December 9, 2010: Transformational Government Workshop  Focuses on recent shift in perspective to 'Transformational Government', which aims toward addressing the cultural and organizational barriers which have hindered public service benefits realization.  

December 1, 2010:  Creating millions of jobs for rural populations in developing countries through mobile texting The CEO of TxtEagle presented on now the company undertakes "crowd sourcing" business from multinational corporations that wish to conduct market surveys, ethnic language translation, etc. in rural locations of developing countries.

November 8, 2010: Global CIO Dialogue on the Future of Government Transformation Thought leaders and senior government officials shared the experience of their countries and spoke of the latest technology trends and how they have impacted government transformation.

Oct.18, 2010: Open Government Data Workshop  Purpose of event is to increase awareness of Open Government Data, get inspiration from other parts of the world for opening of official data in Moldova.

September 28 - 30, 2010: EVOKE: a Platform for Social Innovation The EVOKE summit brought together social innovators from around the globe who successfully participated in the World Bank created massive multi-player game called EVOKE.  

September 27 - 28, 2010:  Identity Management Conference:
Worldwide Identity Solutions for Online Security, Privacy and Trust
Focused on innovative identity solutions being implemented in collaborative efforts between governments and private sector organizations.

September 9, 2010: Government Cloud: Transformational Enabler for Efficiency and Better Services? The workshop discussed the emergence of Government Clouds, advantages offered, cost savings, and challenges that need to be addressed.

August 12, 2010: Moldova eTransformation Forum Enabling e-Transformation and Global Competitiveness of Moldova Through ICT Innovations  This workshop brought together leading international experts and thought leaders to identifying emerging trends in ICT, and to developing strategies for the future of this sector in Moldova.

July 6-7, 2010:  e-Government to Improve Public Services Delivery in Jordan This e-Government forum took place in Amman and was centered on eprocurement as a tool to eliminate corruption and increase accountability and transparency.
