Description:

In order to overcome the recent and ongoing financial crisis, the world is struggling to implement appropriate and timely policies. Like New Deal Policies during the Great Depression, diverse "new" New Deals are released around the world for economic growth and job-creation.

What makes the New Deal plan in the 21st century different from the previous one? In this century, we live in an information society. The ICT industry has played a role as an important force driving growth, transforming our socio-economic structure. Its impact is expected to increase in the future with business intelligence and convergence.

The National Information Society Agency (NIA), Rep. of Korea is organizing this forum which will be a good opportunity for dialog between experts of Korea, U.S. and World Bank about national IT enablement, Green IT, Knowledge Infrastructure as well as job creation in the knowledge-based society.
