eGovernment to improve public services delivery in Jordan

GICT finalized one of the deliverable of its eTransform initiative: an eGovernment forum in Amman where more than 100 high level government officials participated in a capacity building workshop on using ICTs to improve public sector delivery with a focus on eprocuremnet as a tool to eliminate corruption and increase government's accountability and transparency. The workshop was opened by two ministers and is aligned with and complements the MNA region's Public Sector reform policy dialogue from Jordan. Experts from Singapore, UK, Italy and S. Korea shared their country's experience, while CITPO's TTL moderated an interesting and open debate of rights to information and cultural/generational perceptions of ICTs.
