Candidates must submit their applications directly to the World Bank Legal Vice Presidency as specified hereafter.
The application period is from November 4 to November 30, 2011.
Review of CVs
Review of CVs will take place during the months of December 2011 and January 2012.
Interviews will take place during the months of February-April 2012.
Offers will be made in May 2012.
If selected, the applicants are expected to start the program at the headquarters of the World Bank in Washington D.C. in Mid-September 2012.
Eligibility for Application
- Masters (Graduate or Post-graduate) degree in law: All applicants must have obtained a (post-) graduate degree (masters degree) in law, LLM, PHD or equivalent. It is not required to have a degree from a US university nor is it considered an advantage or a disadvantage. We strongly encourage applicants with a post-graduate degree from non US universities to apply.
- Nationality: Applicants must be citizens of a member country of the World Bank to be eligible and satisfy all other hiring conditions related to employment at the World Bank.
- Languages: Fluency in English is necessary. Fluency in Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish or Portuguese would be a strong advantage in the recruitment process.
- Prior Experience: A minimum of one year and no more than two years of work experience is required.
