
World Bank's Lead Environment Specialist for the East Asia and Pacific Region, Mr. Neeraj Prasad (standing in background), presented an overview of the Bank's new carbon fund initiatives during the "World Bank's Climate Change Program: Recent Initiatives and Development " seminar at the Bank's office in Bangkok on Dec. 14, 2007.  He was joined by Mr. Nat Pinnoi (with microphone), a World Bank technical specialist on carbon finance, who has worked on a number of carbon finance projects in the region.
This seminar was the latest of the World Bank's knowledge-sharing effort, designed to help member countries find their own solutions to address ongoing as well as emerging developmental challenges. More than 70 representatives of the government, the private sector, and environmental research institutes, as well as members of the academia, attended this seminar.Â
