Sponsorship of the Global Forum, which marks the 10th anniversary of the GGFR partnership, is your organization’s opportunity to be recognized by industry leaders as a key player in the global efforts to reduce gas flaring. Sponsoring provides significant exposure to the hundreds of participants including member companies, governments, multilateral organizations, media and others attending this event.

AwardTo properly recognize progress in flaring reduction over the past 10 years and to encourage and propagate continuing efforts, the World Bank’s GGFR will be issuing Excellence in Flaring Reduction Awards during a gala reception planned for the evening of October 24.

Recipients of the awards will receive:

  • public recognition at the formal Awards Reception on October 24

  • a Certificate of Excellence in Flaring Reduction delivered by senior World Bank management

  • poster space at the Global Forum to display key reduction project information

  • inclusion of descriptive material about the reduction project in a GGFR-dedicated webpage to Excellence in Flaring Reduction

  • inclusion of award projects in a joint GGFR-Oil and Gas Industry association publication on Excellence in Flaring Reduction to be published in 2013.

Applications for these awards must be received by Mauricio Rios of the GGFR core team and John Shinn, Advisor to GGFR, by August 31, 2012.
