Global Coalitions for Voices of the Poor Workshop, July 31-August 1 2000

The World Bank Poverty Group brought together leaders of poor people’s federations and networks from around the world on July 31 and August 1 for a brainstorming workshop on how to create a Global Coalition for Voices of the Poor to inform international fora, programs and policy-making. 
The two-day workshop, hosted by Michael Walton, Director of Poverty Reduction and Deepa Narayan, Lead Social Development Specialist and Voices of the Poor Team Leader, was the second in a series of consultations convened to respond to findings from Voices of the Poor.
