Governance and Institutional Reforms are aimed at building effective and accountable public institutions. This is a key challenge for sustainable poverty reduction. Despite the increasing and widespread promotion of these reforms, their impacts remain largely unexplored. Our objective is to produce rigorous evidence on the welfare impacts that result and provide a comprehensive guide for development practitioners.
