Tuesday October 19th
12.30 - 2.00 pm
Presenter: David Wilson (Global HIV/AIDS Program, HDNGA)
We face great challenges in AIDS prevention globally. One of the challenges is learning what works and what does not work in specific contexts from past interventions. This can only be done through a rigorous evaluation of the impacts of HIV/AIDS interventions. Impact evaluation of HIV/AIDS interventions is a difficult process -- there are numerous measurement and design issues.
David Wilson will explain why impact evaluations are critically needed to design effective approaches. He will share his insights on the design and implementation of impact evaluations for HIV/AIDS interventions. He will also tell us the lessons that have been learned so for on the different types of interventions and their impact.
