Stata “ado” files are programs that add new commands to Stata. Since new ado files are being written and updated, the new files must be downloaded to your computer.
You can install the Stata ado files for the (i) growth-inequality decomposition, (ii) sectoral decomposition, (iii) growth incidence curve and rate of pro-poor growth, and (iv) Foster-Greer-Thorbecke poverty indicators with robust standard errors, from within Stata, by copying the following lines separately to Stata’s command line: net from http://siteresources.worldbank.org/INTPOVRES/Resources/ net install gidecomposition, replace net install sedecomposition, replace net install gicurve, replace net install sg117, replace from (http://www.stata.com/stb/stb51) [Note: This installs sepov for calculating poverty indicators.] An internet connection is required to install these files. The installation of these files only needs to be done once. If you install the ADePT program, it will check for these and other ado files.
