Honduras: Public Spending on Social Programs

This study applies a traditional benefit-incidence analysis methodology to determine the beneficiaries of social spending in Honduras and attempts to contribute to efforts aimed at increasing the positive impact that public policies have on the most disadvantaged members of Honduran society. The main input for this study is the 2004 Living Standards Measurement Study (the English acronym is “LSMS” and the Spanish acronym is “ENCOVI”), conducted by the National Statistics Bureau (INE).
