Poverty and Social Impact Analysis (PSIA) analyzes the distributional impacts of public policies, with particular emphasis on the poor and vulnerable. It uses ex ante analysis, predicting impacts before a policy is implemented. This approach generates evidence to inform policy dialogue, debate and decision making. The program is jointly managed by the Poverty Reduction and Equity Group and by the Social Development Department.
