The Poverty and Social Impact Analysis website is maintained jointly by the Poverty Reduction Group in the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management Network and the Social Analysis and Policy Team in the Social Development Department. Set up in January 2003, the site draws on activities from other departments in the World Bank, particularly the development and presentation of a number of relevant economic tools by the Development Research Group. Country examples are mostly drawn from the activities of Regional divisions. The Social Analysis and Policy Team also maintain the Social Analysis website containing tools and methods to examine the socio-cultural, institutional, historical and political context of policy operations.
