This site that focuses on cross-cutting issues in public finance1 and serves as a gateway into 3 main sub-divisions: Public Financial Management, Expenditure Policy, and Revenue Policy and Administration.
The Expenditure sub-theme is subdivided into two components: Public Financial Management2 and Expenditure Policy. The Revenue sub-theme maintains an integrated Administration and Policy website but functions as an integrated thematic subgroup.

[1] The specific topical areas where such synergies would need to be ensured will require further discussion and will in part evolve with experience. But, illustratively, these might include issues such as the quality of fiscal adjustment – encompassing issues of expenditure, revenue, policy and management. Similarly, the incidence of revenue and expenditure, or reforms to ministries of finance that restructure revenue raising, budget management and policy evaluation functions would require an integrated PF approach.
[2] The term Public Financial Management allows an integration of the perspectives of economists, financial managers and procurement specialists and is consistent with the approach adopted in the multi-donor PEFA initiative. For our purposes, this refers to all relevant aspects of budget management.
