Publications

The World Bank publishes many publications about sustainable development that can be found in an easy to navigate database. The database holds a selection of free, downloadable documents, including operational documents (project documents, analytical and advisory work, and evaluations), formal and informal research papers, and other publications.

• Formal Publications: Official World Bank publications on sustainable development themes, including Annual Reports, major flagship reports, formal sector and/or issue strategies, as well as Board Papers.

• Documents & Reports: A database that offers a collection of more than 65,000 World Bank operational documents and working papers. All sustainable development topics are included in the search forms.

• Brochures: Promotional or explanatory literature about sustainable development topics produced by various units and departments in the Sustainable Development Network, including material produced as general information for stakeholders or the general public.

• Newsletters: Periodicals produced on a regular and continuing basis designed to highlight news and information about World Bank's sustainable development agenda.

• Multimedia Library: Presentations, audio clips, videos, podcasts, etc. dealing with sustainable development issues.

• Toolkits & Learning: A collection of easy to use toolkits and learning materials aiming to assist World Bank staff as well as policy makers in developing countries in implementing their sustainable development strategies and programs.
