Publications

The Social Development Group produces Social Development Papers (SDP), Social Development Notes (SDN), Conflict Prevention and Reconstruction (CPR) Working Papers, Conflict Prevention and Reconstruction (CPR) Dissemination Notes, and other Social Development publications and documents on selected social development topics. Members of the Social Development group also publish through the World Bank's Office of the Publisher.

Social Development Papers (SDP) are analytical working papers and Social Development Notes (SDN) are 2-4 page brief summaries on selected social development topics. Note that SDN numbers 01 through 21 were originally published as Environment Department Papers. The CPR Working Papers disseminate findings of work in progress to encourage discussion and exchange of ideas on conflict and development issues. The CPR Dissemination Notes are 2-4 page summaries of good practice and key findings on conflict prevention and reconstruction issues.
