The Social Development Department of the World Bank offers you the E-Learning Course of the TIPS Sourcebook. This is based on five years of lessons learned from World Bank and DFID experience with distributional impact analysis and is part of a growing collaborative response by national and international partners.
The TIPS E-Learning course describes good practice in the application of institutional, political and social analysis. This is an online course that you can complete electronically and at your own pace. We will run this as a facilitated course on specified schedule. The course is aimed at commissioners and practitioners in social sciences and related fields in government agencies, civil society organizations and development partner organizations.
Before you get started, do you see yourself as Commissioner, who contracts out consultancies for others to undertake TIPS work, or are you a Practitioner, who collects the data yourself using TIPS tools? Commissioners will have to complete module 1 for course completion, while practitioners will have to complete module 1 and module 2 for course completion.
Modules:
Module 1: TIPS - Overview for Commissioners and Practitioners
Module 2: TIPS - Detailed Introduction for Practitioners
Please write an email to socialdevelopment@worldbank.org and TIPS in the Subject line. You will receive a return email with all the required instructions to login and use the TIPS E-Learning.
