Direct Support for Independent Civil Society Capacity

ü       Building local civil society capacity for oversight and

      participation for engagement such as:

• Community-led service delivery score cards
• Parental participation in schools
• Water users associations
• Community conservation groups

Partnership for Transparency Fund (PTF) is a crucial  mechanism for fostering civil society capacity building. Funded in part but independent from the World Bank, PTF  is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to helping civil society play an effective role in the design, implementation and monitoring of national anti-corruption programs.

 

To better and more directly support civil society capacity building, the Bank is currently exploring establishing A Multi-Donor Trust Fund.   For more information about the MDTF, click here.
