Poverty and Social Impact Analysis (PSIA): A Knowledge-Sharing Platform
OVERVIEW
On the 31st of October and 1st of November, the Poverty and Social Impact Analysis (PSIA) team is bringing together a range of external speakers and Bank staff to discuss how to make policymakers pay more attention to evidence when formulating policy.
Join high level policy makers, donors, NGOs and think tanks as they debate how evidence can be used to influence policy design; discuss how politics shapes and drives policy reform processes, and how the poor can get a voice in policy making.
This event is meant to highlight ways to more systematically consider the poverty, equity and social impacts of the policies the Bank supports, as well as explore how our clients can conduct and use such analysis as an integral part of their domestic policy debate.

| 12:30 - 2:00 pm |Â Boxed Lunch served Panel Discussion on PSIAs in fragile situations: "Can we use PSIA in rapidly changing policy environments to bring about sustainable, pro-poor reform?" This is a difficult issue all development agencies are struggling with. The panel will discuss when and what type of PSIAs might be appropriate in politically unstable situations, where there is also pressure to have rapid policy change.
