In addition to regular Dissemination Notes and Working Papers from the Conflict Prevention and Reconstruction Unit, the World Bank conducts, compiles, and disseminates research and analysis on a number of topics related to conflict, poverty, and development.

Recognizing the incomplete state of knowledge of the links between development assistance and conflict, the World Bank's analytical work in the area of conflict attempts to increase an understanding of the root causes, catalysts, indicators, and policy implications of conflict and post-conflict recovery.
