The Conflict Prevention and Reconstruction Unit has been active in addressing issues related to the effective removal of landmines in post-conflict economic recovery. It follows closely the work of the United Nations specialized agencies on mine action and is a member of the Mine Action Working Group of the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS). This Guide describes suggested good practice for use by task managers in the design and implementation of land mine clearance projects financed by the World Bank.
