Operations

The Azerbaijan Social Fund for the Development of Internally Displaced Persons, established with US$10 million in IDA funds to support self-reliance of IDPs, was the first Social Fund supported by the World Bank which primarily targets conflict-displaced populations. The Fund mainly finances water supply, local roads and civil works that now reach 35,000 beneficiaries. Other projects include:
