The United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues

The World Bank is committed to supporting the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues as an essential mechanism to facilitate constructive dialogue among Indigenous Peoples, states, NGOs, UN Agencies and UN Specialized Agencies.

The Permanent Forum was established in June 2000 by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), and held its first session in New York in May 2002.
