Volume II: Annex of Tools

Volume 1 presented a conceptual overview of the elements that make up institutional, political and social analysis for PSIA. Volume 2 provides more detailed guidance and illustration of the use of specific tools and analytical frameworks for PSIA.¹Â These tools are clustered according to the three levels of analysis introduced in Volume 1: Country and Reform Context, Policy Implementation Process and Impacts of Policy Reform. In addition to these three levels of analysis, Volume 2 introduces tools for assessing Uncertainties and Risk to Policy Reform. The Volume also includes Guidance Notes on PSIA Principles that have been produced by DFID and the World Bank.
