Africa Region Employment Issues – Regional Stocktaking Review One of the objectives of this Trust Fund Project is to provide a much deeper analytical foundation than currently exists on which to base pro-poor labor market policies and interventions in low-income countries in the future.  With this aim, four regional stocktaking papers were prepared, covering labor supply issues such as the impact of HIV/AIDS, skills development, and migration, as well as demand side issues such as investment climate, export patterns, and job creation in the formal and informal economies in Sub-Saharan Africa.  Overview Presentation (254kb pdf) by Louise Fox, World Bank
