The World Bank Social Funds Team is committed to fostering innovation and heightening the impact of social fund investments to improve the well-being of poor and vulnerable groups served by these programs. The Team is comprised of a group of professionals developing knowledge management products on cross-sectoral themes, designing training programs, enhancing the quality of the social fund portfolio, and improving the design and implementation of social fund operations across regions.
The Social Funds Team is part of the Social Protection Unit of the Human Development Network. It regularly provides technical support to its regional social protection counterparts, as well as other World Bank thematic groups such as Community-Driven Development (CDD), Community-based Rural Development (CBRD), the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation TG, and the Decentralization TG, among others. We strive to provide support to our regional counterparts and thematic group members, as well as the country teams.
