H. K. Srivastava is a Director Projects-I in National Rural Roads Development Agency (NRRDA), within the Ministry of Rural Development, India. During the three years he has been with NRRDA he was dealing with External Funded projects, Programme Implementation, Policy matters & overall Project Monitoring and Co-ordination.
He joined Central Public Works Department (CPWD) under Ministry of Urban Development, Govt. of India in 1972 and has served in various capacities in different parts of India such as Arunachal Pradesh, Delhi, West Bengal & Tamil Nadu.
He has also served in Nepal on Construction of East-West Highway- Central Sector
and on Infrastructure Development Projects in Iraq.
During his posting with Delhi Government on road projects, his assignment included improvement of the transportation system in Delhi. Subsequently he worked with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for initial 3 years. He has been associated with IRC Technical Committee’s at different point
of time, dealing with urban areas and Integrated Urban Transport, Drainage Committee,
Traffic Engineering Committee, Human Resource Development Committee and Road Safety Committee. He has a B. Tech (Hons.) in Civil Engineering & M. Tech in Structural Engineering, both from IIT Kharagpur, India and is a member of Indian Road Congress, Indian Building Congress, and Institute of Urban Transport. He has published a number of technical papers in IRC/IBC Journals including: Road Signage as User Information for High Speed Facilities in Urban Situation- A case study.
