Francesco Gaeta has been an Adviser on European matters in the Road Department of the French Ministry for Transport, Infrastructure, Tourism and Sea since June 2004.  Prior to that, he was a Manager for European Programs in the Territorial Development Department - GD European Program of the Italian Ministry for Infrastructure and Transport and Head of Housing Office, Portici Town Council in Italy.  He did research on European and international law at the University “Federico II” of Naples, and on the decentralized implementation of European competition law while at the Cabinet of the Italian judge Mr. Federico Mancini at the European Court of Justice.

Mr. Gaeta has a Masters Degree  in Public Administration from Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA) in Paris and Strasbourg.  He also holds a Diploma in European and international issues from the Italian Society for the International Organization (SIOI in Rome, a Diploma in Public Administration from LUISS University in Rome and a Degree in Political Sciences from University “Federico II” in Naples.
