Jose-Luis Irigoyen is the Sector Manager of the Transport Group in the Latin America and Caribbean Region, with over 25 years of experience in the transport practice. Since he joined the World Bank in 1990, he has been involved in analytical and operational work focusing mostly on road sector reform and decentralization, the provision of road infrastructure through public-private partnerships, and rural accessibility improvement. Prior to joining the Bank he worked extensively in Latin America as a transport consultant in several Latin American countries. An Argentinean national, he is a Civil Engineer with a specialization in Transport.
