Guang Zhe Chen, World Bank, is a Chinese national who joined the Bank in 1997 as a Transport Economist in the South Asia Region. Since then, he has held various positions in the region, including Sr. Transport Economist and Team Leader for India and Nepal Transport Teams in the Infrastructure Sector Unit, South Asia Region. In October 2001, he was selected as Sector Manager for the Energy and Infrastructure Unit in South Asia Region.
Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Chen served as a project economist at the Asian Development Bank, where he worked on transport operations in E ast and South Asia. Mr. Chen holds a Masters Degree in Economics from Harvard University in the US, and a M.A. & B. A. from Zhongshan University in China.
