Cornelis (Bert) Kruk

Lead Port Specialist, Energy, Transport and Water Department, World Bank

Cornelis (Bert) Kruk, World Bank, was appointed Senior Port Specialist at the World Bank in 2004. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Sohar Industrial Port Company in Oman (2003); Director of the International Consultancy and Training Department of Rotterdam Municipal Port, formerly TEMPO (1980-2003); Associate Expert in Coastal Engineering, UNESCO Coastal Erosion Project in Alexandria, Egypt (1972-1975); and Lecturer at the International Institute for Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering, Delft (1968 - 1980).

He has executed a number of consultancy and training projects in The Netherlands and internationally.

Mr. Kruk has a Master of Science degree in civil engineering from the Delft University of Technology.
