The ports of Rijeka and Ploce are
two transit ports acting as gateways
for the Pan European corridor to
Central Europe as well as Bosnia
and Herzegovina. In 2003, the
government of Croatia, the Port of
Rijeka Authority, the Croatian Road
Company, the Croatian Motorway
Company, the City of Rijeka and
the World Bank initiated the Rijeka Gateway Project. |  |  4.8thousand
