Programs targeted at addressing urban poverty are wide ranging and may be categorized into roughly three areas.

 

Sector-based program examples target urban poverty within the context of specific sectors such as integrated urban development/slum upgrading, and housing.

 

Policy-based program example take a cross-sectoral approach to issues such as tenure regularization policies.
